| |  | | | | Cuba | | | | | Since 1996 Cuba has been a fixture among our participants.
When Cuba in Haarlem are the matches that Cuba plays always very special. Because if No. 1 in IBAF World Ranking and 25-time world champion, they are the team to beat.
Especially the encounter between the Netherlands and Cuba during the 2012 Baseball Week will be a very special going. This meeting is the repetition of the Worlds in Panama where the Netherlands wrote history. | | | | Roster | | | | |  | | | | Japan | | | | | The team will participate in an All Star team of universities. In Japan there is a baseball league for universities and consists of 26 federal regions. Kyushu Daigaku chiku yakyu renmmei (literally = Kyushu region in southern Japan, chiku = region = Daigaku University, yakyu = baseball = Renmei Federation) is one of the 26 regions. In Haarlem in the past have often this kind of All Star teams participated. Also at the Baseball Week 2010, the Japanese team from one of these 26 regions.
Within the baseball works, after the terrible earthquake and tsunami of March this year to the reconstruction of Japan. So for example, they play fewer night games to save power. This is especially in the north and east of Japan. The pitcher made sure all alone (9 innings in total) that Japan won, 4-2 of runner-up Cuba. It was Cuba with a defeat against the Netherlands lost the only two parties in 2010. Yudai Ohno comes in the Japanese professional league for the Chunichi Dragons, the club where crowd favorite Baseball Week 2008 Ryoji Nakata plays. Nakata was the strong first baseman of the Japanese that the audience was elected Most Popular Player. | | | | Roster | | | | |  | | | | Netherlands | | | | | | For the Netherlands there is a special Baseball Week waiting for after profit in July 2010 during the anniversary edition was the next time the Dutch team Haarlem was a very historic. The Asians were also present in 1988, 1990, 2000, 2002, 2004, 2006 and 2008. Two years ago, in 2008, Chinese Taipei experienced the highest ranking ever, third place. In previous editions, the team finished in fourth place five times and twice in the sixth position. At the 2010 edition they become 5th. The beat Japan twice. | | | | Roster | | | | |  | | | | USA | | | | | USA is the last team contracted for the Haarlem Baseball Week 2012.
Between April and June 2012, USA Baseball players are going to be invited and a players with the potential for the future. Several players are in the past already released for the national team, but in the youth.
Before team USA travels to Haarlem they will first make a stopover in Havana where they will play some practice matches against Cuba. | | | | Roster | | |
